टीम अच्छी बल्लेबाजी करने में नाकाम रही और 20 ओवर में चार विकेट खोकर मात्र 109 रन ही बना पाई। भारत की ओर से हरलीन देओल ने 56 गेंदों में चार चौकों की मदद से 46 रन की महत्वपूर्ण पारी खेली। उनके अलावा कप्तान हरमनप्रीत कौर ने 22 गेंदों में दो चौकों की मदद से 21 रन बनाए। दीप्ति शर्मा ने 14 गेंदों में एक चौके की मदद से 16* रन की अहम पारी खेली।
मेजबान की ओर से नॉनकुलुलेको एमएलबा ने 4 ओवर में 16 रन देकर दो विकेट अपने नाम किए जबकि ए काका और सुने लूस ने एक-एक विकेट झटका।
क्लोई ट्रायोन की शानदार पारी की बदौलत दक्षिण अफ्रीका ने इस महत्वपूर्ण मुकाबले में जीत दर्ज की
लक्ष्य का पीछा करने उतरी दक्षिण अफ्रीका टीम ने 7 ओवर के भीतर ही 21 रन पर अपने महत्वपूर्ण 3 विकेट गंवा दिए। टीम का चौथा विकेट 47 रन पर गिरा। जहां एक तरफ भारतीय गेंदबाज मेजबान के ऊपर अपना तब आप डाल रहे थे वहीं दूसरी ओर क्लोई ट्रायोन ने बेहतरीन बल्लेबाजी करते हुए ना ही सिर्फ अर्धशतक जड़ा बल्कि अपनी टीम को जीत दिलाई।
क्लोई ट्रायोन ने 32 गेंदों में छह चौके और दो छक्कों की मदद से 57* रन की मैच जिताऊ पारी खेली। उनके अलावा नादिन डी क्लार्क ने 17* रन का योगदान दिया। मेजबान ने इस लक्ष्य को 18 ओवर में 5 विकेट रहते हासिल कर लिया।
भारत की ओर से स्नेह राणा ने 2 विकेट अपने नाम किए जबकि दीप्ति शर्मा, रेणुका सिंह और राजेश्वरी गायकवाड़ ने एक-एक विकेट लिया। क्लोई ट्रायोन को प्लेयर ऑफ द मैच अवार्ड से नवाजा गया जबकि दीप्ति शर्मा ने प्लेयर ऑफ द सीरीज अवार्ड अपने नाम किया।
