वहीं इस समय श्रीलंका और ऑस्ट्रेलिया के बीच दूसरा टेस्ट मैच खेला जा रहा है। दूसरे टेस्ट मैच में श्रीलंका ने अपनी पहली पारी में सभी विकेट खोकर 257 रन बनाए। मेजबान की ओर से कुसल मेंडिस ने 85* रनों की पारी खेली, जबकि दिनेश चांडीमल ने 74 रनों का योगदान दिया। जवाब में ऑस्ट्रेलिया इस समय काफी अच्छी स्थिति में है।
जबकि स्टीव स्मिथ और एलेक्स कैरी ने ऑस्ट्रेलियाई पारी के दौरान शतक जड़ा। स्मिथ ने अपने टेस्ट करियर का 36वां शतक लगाया, जो किसी ऑस्ट्रेलियाई द्वारा बनाया गया दूसरा सबसे अधिक शतक है।
