Follow us on Google Newsटीम इंडिया के पूर्व ऑलराउंडर युसूफ पठान राजनीति की पिच पर उतरने वाले हैं। वह आगामी लोकसभा चुनाव में पश्चिम बंगाल के बरहमपुर निर्वाचन क्षेत्र से तृणमूल कांग्रेस (TMC) के लिए चुनाव लड़ेंगे।
इसकी जानकारी खुद युसूफ पठान ने दी है। उन्होंने अपने आधिकारिक सोशल मीडिय हैंडल से पोस्ट करते हुए लिखा, ‘मैं टीएमसी परिवार में मेरा स्वागत करने और संसद में लोगों की आवाज बनने की जिम्मेदारी देने के लिए ममता बनर्जी का सदैव आभारी हूं।
उन्होंने आगे लिखा, लोगों के प्रतिनिधियों के रूप में, गरीबों और वंचितों का उत्थान करना हमारा कर्तव्य है और मैं यही हासिल करने की उम्मीद करता हूं।
वहीं इरफान पठान ने भी अपने बड़े भाई को शुभकामनाएं दीं। उन्होंने सोशल मीडिया पर पोस्ट करते हुए लिखा, आपके धैर्य, काइंडनेस, जरूरतमंदों की मदद, बिना किसी आधिकारिक पद के भी लोगों की सेवा को आसानी से देखा जा सकता है। मुझे विश्वास है कि एक बार जब आप राजनीतिक भूमिका में कदम रखेंगे, तो आप वास्तव में लोगों के दैनिक जीवन में बदलाव लाएंगे।
इसके अलावा आज ही के दिन 1985 में सुनील गावस्कर की अगुवाई में भारत ने एमसीजी पाकिस्तान को आठ विकेट से हराकर वर्ल्ड चैंपियनशिप जीता था। इसको लेकर रवि शास्त्री ने एक खास ट्वीट किया है।
उन्होंने लिखा, ’10 मार्च, 1985: 39 साल पहले भारतीय क्रिकेट और मेरे साथियों के लिए एक विशेष दिन जिसने आने वाली पीढ़ियों के लिए एक मानदंड स्थापित किया।’
