इससे पहले रोमांचक होने वाले इस मुकाबले में युवा विकेटकीपर बल्लेबाज ध्रुव जरेल (Dhruv Jurel) ने शानदार बल्लेबाजी की है। उन्होंने रांची टेस्ट के तीसरे दिन 90 रनों की पारी खेलते हुए भारत को मुकाबले में पिछड़ने से बचाया।
जुरेल अपने पहले टेस्ट शतक से चूक गए, लेकिन उनकी जबरदस्त पारी की सोशल मीडिया पर जमकर सराहना हुई। दिग्गज भारतीय क्रिकेटरों ने उन्हें भविष्य का स्टार बताया।
इस मुकाबले में रविचंद्रन अश्विन ने एक बार फिर धारदार गेंदबाजी की और पांच विकेट हॉल अपने नाम किया। इसके अलावा भारतीय कप्तान रोहित शर्मा ने अपने टेस्ट क्रिकेट में 4000 रन पूरे किए।
वहीं इस सीरीज में युवा खिलाड़ियों के प्रदर्शन को देखकर पूर्व भारतीय क्रिकेटर वेंकटेश प्रसाद ने कहा कि, इतने सारे युवाओं को अच्छा प्रदर्शन करते देखना शानदार है। रिंकू सिंह सीमित ओवरों के क्रिकेट में असाधारण रहे हैं और यशस्वी जायसवाल टेस्ट क्रिकेट में शानदार रहे हैं। ध्रुव जुरेल काफी प्रभावशाली हैं, सरफराज ने अपने करियर की अच्छी शुरुआत की है और आकाश दीप ने टेस्ट क्रिकेट में अपने पहले दिन कुछ अद्भुत कौशल दिखाया है। प्रतिभाओं का बड़ा भंडार है और उम्मीद है कि उनमें से कई का भविष्य बहुत अच्छा होगा।
