पंजाब के खिलाफ मुकाबले से अनुभवी विकेटकीपर-बल्लेबाज ऋषभ पंत ने लगभग डेढ़ साल के बाद क्रिकेट के मैदान पर वापसी की है। हर कोई उन्हें मैदान में देखने के लिए बेताब था।
जब पंत बल्लेबाजी के लिए मैदान में उतरे तो दर्शकों ने Standing Ovation दिया। सभी ने खड़े होकर उनका स्वागत किया और उत्साह बढ़ाया।पंत ने लगभग 456 दिनों के बाद क्रिकेट फील्ड पर वापसी की है।
इससे पहले चंडीगढ़ के महाराजा यादवेंद्र सिंह अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट स्टेडियम में पंजाब ने टॉस जीतकर दिल्ली को पहले बल्लेबाजी के लिए आमंत्रित किया।
पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए दिल्ली कैपिटल्स की टीम ने निर्धारित 20 ओवर में 9 विकेट के नुकसान पर 174 रनों का स्कोर बनाया। अंत में अभिषेक पोरेल ने आतिशी बल्लेबाजी की और 10 गेंदों में 4 चौके व 2 छक्के की मदद से नाबाद 32 रन बनाए।
वहीं, शुक्रवार 22 मार्च को इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग 2024 का पहला मुकाबला चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स और रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बेंगलुरु के बीच में खेला गया, जहां इस मैच को चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स ने 6 विकेट से अपने नाम किया।
