राजस्थान रॉयल्स की फिर से हुयीं खराब शुरुआत
रविचंद्रन अश्विन ने इस मैच में राजस्थान रॉयल्स के खिलाफ टॉस जीतने के साथ टीम में एक बदलाव भी किया जिसमें उन्होंने युवराज सिंह की जगह पर मनोज तिवारी को टीम में शामिल किया वहीँ अजिंक्य रहाणे ने भी एक बदलाव करते हुए अनुरीत सिंह को टीम में शामिल किया. राजस्थान रॉयल्स के लिए इस मैच में बल्लेबाज़ी की शुरुआत करने के लिए आयें डी आर्शी शोर्ट और जॉस बटलर टीम को अच्छी शुरुआत देने में कामयाब नहीं हो सके और इस मैच में शोर्ट सिर्फ 2 रन बनाकर आउट हो गयें. इसके बाद बल्लेबाज़ी के लिए उतरे कप्तान अजिंक्य रहाणे भी इस मैच में कुछ खास नहीं कर सके वह भी 5 रन बनाकर चलते बने. राजस्थान रॉयल्स टीम ने इस वजह से अपने पहले 6 ओवर में सिर्फ 45 रन ही बना सकी.
मुजीब ने नचाया
जॉस बटलर जो इस मैच में राजस्थान रॉयल्स के लिए अच्छी बल्लेबाज़ी कर रहे थे उन्होंने इस मैच में अपनी टीम के लिए 51 रनों की शानदार पारी खेली लेकिन पंजाब की तरफ से खेल रहे स्पिनर मुजीब जादरान से राजस्थान की टीम पार नहीं पा सकी और इस कारण 20 ओवर का खेल होने के बाद टीम सिर्फ 152 रन ही बना सकी. मुजीब ने इस मैच में 4 ओवर की गेंदबाज़ी में 27 रन देकर 3 विकेट हासिल किये. मुजीब के अलावा एंड्रू टाय ने 2 विकेट लिए.
