महेंद्र सिंह धोनी को मिला देश का तीसरा सबसे बड़ा नागरिक सम्मान पद्म भूषण

भारतीय टीम को 28 साल के बाद अपनी कप्तानी में विश्व विजेता बनाने वाले पूर्व कप्तान और विकेटकीपर बल्लेबाज महेंद्र सिंह धोनी देश के तीसरे सबसे बड़े नागरिक सम्मान पदम भूषण से अलंकृत किया गया है. धोनी इस सम्मान को पाने वाले 11 वें भारतीय क्रिकेट खिलाड़ी है. इस पुरस्कार को 1954 से दिया जा रहा है.

भारतीय क्रिकेट इतिहास के सबसे सफल कप्तान

महेंद्र सिंह धोनी को भारतीय क्रिकेट इतिहास के सबसे सफल कप्तानों में से एक माना जाता है. वे एकलौते ऐसे भारतीय कप्तान है जिन्होंने अपनी कप्तानी में अभी तक आईसीसी की तीनों ट्राफी भारतीय टीम को जिताई है. 36 साल के धोनी ने अपने अंतर्राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट की शुरुआत साल 2005 में बांग्लादेश के खिलाफ किया था जिसके बाद उनके करियर ने तब मोड़ लिया जब उन्हें भारतीय टी20 टीम की कप्तानी विश्वकप में सौपीं गयीं और उन्होंने भारतीय टीम को विश्व विजेता बना दिया और इसके बाद 2011 में विश्वकप 2013 में आईसीसी चैंपियंस ट्राफी ये धोनी की कप्तानी की प्रमुख उपलब्धियां रही है.

राहुल द्रविड़ के बाद मिला धोनी को

महेंद्र सिंह धोनी को पद्म भूषण सम्मान भारतीय टीम के पूर्व कप्तान राहुल द्रविड़ के बाद मिला है द्रविड़ को ये सम्मान साल 2013 में दिया गया था और उसके बाद किसी भी भारतीय क्रिकेट खिलाड़ी को ये सम्मान नहीं मिला. बीसीसीआई के एक्टिंग प्रेसिडेंट सीके खन्ना ने धोनी को ये सम्मान मिलने पर कहा कि “ये बहुत ही अच्छा निर्णय है क्योंकी धोनी का नाम भारतीय क्रिकेट के महान खिलाड़ियों में गिना जायेगा वे हमारे वनडे क्रिकेट के महान खिलाड़ियों में से एक है जो 10000 रन बना सके हों और इसके अलावा 90 टेस्ट मैच खेले हों.”

धोनी को पद्म भूषण मिलने की घोषणा के बाद ट्विटर पर किस तरह उन्हें बधाई दी गयीं :
