वहीं रविवार को खेले गए वर्ल्ड कप 2023 के अपने पहले मैच में भारत ने विराट कोहली और केएल राहुल के शानदार पारियों की बदौलत ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ जीत दर्ज की। 200 रनों के लक्ष्य का पीछा करते हुए भारतीय टीम ने 2 रन पर अपने तीन विकेट गंवा दिए।
इसके बाद कोहली और केएल राहुल ने बेहतरीन बल्लेबाजी करते हुए टीम इंडिया की जीत सुनिश्चित की। दोनों बल्लेबाजों की सोशल मीडिया पर जमकर प्रशंसा हुई। इसके अलावा अफगानी स्पिनर राशिद खान ने अफगानिस्तान के भूकंप पीड़ितों के लिए फंड जुटाने की मुहिम शुरू की है।
