जोस बटलर और यशस्वी जायसवाल के जल्दी आउट हो जाने के बाद संजू सैमसन ने पारी संभालने की जिम्मेदारी संभाली। उन्होंने संभलकर खेलते हुए टीम के अर्धशतक बनाया।
वहीं रियान पराग ने उनका पूरा साथ दिया। सैमसन और पराग के बीच तीसरे विकेट के लिए 93 रनों की महत्वपूर्ण साझेदारी हुई। पराग अर्धशतक से चूक गए और 29 गेंदों में एक चौके और तीन छक्के की मदद से 43 रनों की पारी खेली।
इससे पहले शनिवार को खेले गए IPL 2024 के तीसरे मैच में आंद्रे रसेल के ऑलराउंड प्रदर्शन की बदौलत कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स ने सनराइजर्स हैदराबाद के खिलाफ 4 रनों से रोमांचक जीत दर्ज की।
रसेल ने बल्ले से से 25 गेंदों में नाबाद 64 रन बनाए, जबकि गेंद से दो विकेट भी चटकाए। इसके लिए उन्हें प्लेयर ऑफ द मैच चुना गया। इसके अलावा दिन के पहले मैच में पंजाब किंग्स ने दिल्ली कैपिटल्स के खिलाफ 4 विकेट से जीत दर्ज की। पंजाब के लिए सैम करन ने 47 गेंदों में 63 रनों की बेहतरीन पारी खेली।
